Grounded x Nabil Elderkin – Perea (Documentary Short)

Overview: After a visit from the Grounded team and special guest filmmaker Nabil Elderkin, fourth- and fifth-graders at Perea Elementary School in Memphis created their own music video. Worked on site as a Digital Imaging Technician and camera operator. Later serving as editor for the official mini-documentary. Organized and cut footage from a three-person camera crew and also edited the students’ final music video.

Deliverables: 

• Edited a 4-minute, 20-second mini-documentary

• Organized 30 hours of footage, files, and audio

• Repurposed content into three social media pieces

Usage: 

• Internal communications to show stakeholders the impact of Grounded’s work

• News coverage highlighting Grounded’s school-based programming

• Repurposed for social media content showcasing the project’s reach
