The Links – Potomac Chapter (Documentary Short)
Overview: Commissioned by the Potomac Chapter of The Links to document the legacy of a historic network of Black women leaders, capturing decades of community impact from anti-apartheid activism to D.C. education initiatives. Worked as director of photography, editor, and producer. Hired and managed a gaffer and production assistant, coordinating with rental houses in Baltimore and D.C. to secure the right equipment for the project.
Deliverables:
Three-day turnaround of transcription from over three hours of interview footage
Edited a 6-minute, 32-second mini-documentary
Conducted digital archival work to restore and organize historical photography
Usage:
Won an internal Links competition and was screened at private chapter events and online
Adopted as a tool for institutional positioning, public awareness, and archival preservation
Influenced The Links to begin a mini-doc series archiving the chapters work
